Botanica House, designed for a family of five, is centered around living in harmony with its surroundings. Nestled among pine trees, it seamlessly integrates with the landscape. Large windows flood the interior with light, blurring indoor-outdoor boundaries, while blue and green hues evoke a connection with the environment.
The house is designed with two distinct wings connected by a corridor on the ground floor. The left wing is dedicated to children and consists of their bedrooms and a playroom, while the right wing has the master suite and the guest room. This layout aims to balance family interaction while providing the kids with more independence and offering the parents more privacy.
In the master suite and en-suite, we drew inspiration from the outdoor surroundings by incorporating various shades of green. In the master bedroom, we opted for a soothing sage green on the headboard to evoke a sense of tranquility and connection to nature. Complementing this, the en-suite bathroom showcases deeper green tiles, further evoking natural elements. Additionally, herringbone marble floor tiles add a touch of luxury while echoing organic patterns found in nature, resulting in a unified and serene vibe throughout the entire space.
We opted for a cement countertop in the bathroom to introduce a tactile earthy element, contrasting beautifully with the opulent marble floors. This layered approach aims to elevate the visual interest while maintaining a clean and spacious feel. To further enrich the space, we incorporated high ceilings, arched doors, and fluted plaster, adding depth and complexity to the overall design.
The kitchen is the beating heart of the house, so it’s strategically positioned right at its center. The room is kept bright and open thanks to the minimal use of wall cupboards. The floating oak shelves and wooden beams add warmth and a rustic touch to the space, while the hand-painted cabinets inject personality into the room.
The house was tailored for a family who adores entertaining, ideal for hosting large gatherings of family and friends. Its spacious living room is cleverly divided into a dining area and a cozy fireplace lounge, providing the perfect setting for memorable get-togethers.
Nestled on the ground floor, the "Monkey Business Bar" offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, welcoming friends to a cozy corner for drinks. In a captivating shift, people are rediscovering the art of making cocktails rather than simply drinking them.
This house boasts a spacious outdoor patio, complete with a large fireplace, providing the perfect setting for enjoying the outdoors in any season. Additionally, the property features a thoughtfully designed greenhouse, where family can indulge in planting and growing a variety of plants and vegetables. This greenhouse not only facilitates year-round gardening but also serves as a great place to spend time with children and reconnect with nature.
